Our Story
Toth Funes PA specializes in high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution. With over twenty years’ combined experience, founding partners Brian Toth and Freddy Funes have the knowledge, judgment, and ability to successfully resolve cases—whether through settlement, at trial, or on appeal. A small law firm that handles only a select number of cases at any given time, Toth Funes is singularly focused on providing the best legal services to, and on achieving the best possible results for, its clients.
The law firm of Toth Funes started as an idea many years ago. In law school, Toth and Funes, close friends, served together on the University of Miami Law Review, where each was executive editor and where each developed a deep appreciation for legal analysis, persuasive writing, and hard work. After law school, Toth and Funes took similar paths in their careers—Toth joined Holland & Knight LLP, where he became partner in the firm’s litigation section, and Funes joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Gelber Schachter & Greenberg, P.A., where he also became partner. Early in their careers, each clerked for federal judges—Toth for U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga and Funes for U.S. Circuit Judge Adalberto Jordan (first when Judge Jordan was a district judge and again when Judge Jordan was appointed to the Eleventh Circuit) and for U.S. Circuit Judge Stanley Marcus. In 2019, Toth joined Funes as a partner at Gelber Schachter & Greenberg. And in 2021, Toth and Funes—to best serve their clients and to achieve their professional goals—founded the firm.
